Chapter 6532
In the afternoon, Harvey was once again at the Judd family residence in Wolsing. After the commotion last night, the entire residence had become cleaner and much more elegant.
Harvey personally went to visit Marleen’s grandmother. Once he was sure she was recovering, he looked once again around and gave some geomancy advice to Veer so the latter could restore the configuration around the residence back to normal.
This was called reciprocating.
While Harvey did help the Judds last night, Veer’s call in the morning explained just how much importance the Judds had placed on Harvey.
Harvey knew the way of the streets. Once he had his breakfast, he made his way back to the residence. On one hand, he wanted to find more information about something. On the other hand, he wanted to completely eliminate some of the problems remaining within the residence.
Once Harvey was almost done, Veer invited Harvey to the dining room for lunch. It was almost time for lunch anyway, so Harvey didn’t refuse their kindness and started to eat.
Once they had almost finished lunch, Veer signaled his secretary to deliver a folder. Veer didn’t open it and immediately put it in front of Harvey. With a smile, he said, “This is our gift to you, Harvey.
Please take it. Don’t you worry about it.”
Harvey flipped open the folder and gave it a look. He was slightly taken aback. “10% share of everything the Judds of Wolsing own?
Isn’t this a little too much?”
“No, no. This belongs to my old man,” Veer said with a smile. “You can tell how stubborn he is. He won’t give up after he’s sure of something. He promised you last night saying that if you can handle the problems for us, not only will you become the only geomancer we use, you will also have some influence within our family.
“However, no one could guarantee such words will forever hold enough power. Perhaps the next person who comes into power after me won’t acknowledge that promise anymore. That’s why he prepared these shares for you. According to him, with these shares, you will have to participate in every major event within the Judd family.
“From now on, the Judds of Wolsing will also treat you as one of our own. If we need your help, we will similarly ask for you as well.
Of course, he also said you can promise him something.”
Harvey smiled. “That I can sell these shares?”
“No.” Veer shook his head. “According to him, he hopes you won’t sell these shares unless you absolutely need to. Even if you want to sell them, he hopes you can sell them back to the Judds first. Of course, if you don’t want to, we won’t force it upon you as well. I can’t limit you, right?”
Harvey smiled again. “Since we’re being so open, I can promise you this then. I will take the shares, and I’ll definitely sell them back to the Judds in the future.”
“Alright,” Veer replied with a smile. “I have faith in you. Now, let’s continue with our lunch. This is a bottle of red wine from 1982. Are you interested in giving it a taste?”
After they had lunch, coffee was served. It was at this time they heard the sounds of roaring engines from outside the garden.
Urgent footsteps followed.
